A Benefit for Pacific Horticulture Society at the West Seattle garden of Lorene Edwards Forkner
Garden design is many things: art, science, traveling through space (and time), but primarily it is an exercise in problem solving. A recent next-door building project and its impact on my existing landscape precipitated a complete garden do-over (again).
Catch a more complete glimpse of the backstory here.
Today, while still very much a work-in-progress, the new garden plays nicely with nature, is easy on the gardener, and provides a stage from which to observe birds, bees, wildlife, and the ever-changing seasons.
